Riflessione sulla mobilità urbana e sul bike sharing. Una parte la dobbiamo fare noi.

L'obiettivo di qualsiasi piano per la mobilità è quello di muoversi nel migliore dei modi possibili in uno spazio che offra la migliore qualità di vita e la maggiore sicurezza possibile, a tutte le persone, a partire dai bambini e dagli anziani.

La Federazione Italiana Amici della Bicicletta, della quale noi facciamo parte, pensa che, tra tutte le propulsioni esistenti od immaginabili, nessuna delle quali può essere esclusa da un piano per la mobilità, la propulsione a pedali sia quella che assicuri i migliori risultati con i minori costi. Un piano di mobilità senza un buon piano per le biciclette è come una minestra senza il sale: pur aggiungendo gli ingredienti più raffinati e magari tecnologicamente “avanzati”, non potrà mai essere una buona minestra.

Noi di Fiab Livorno pensiamo che la nostra amministrazione comunale abbia cominciato a cucinare meglio. La nascita di nuove e ben fatte ciclabili, la puntuale applicazione della Legge 336/98 che prevede che ogni nuova strada sia sempre affiancata da una ciclabile, ed i progetti in corso, ultimo quello sul bike sharing, fanno ben sperare. Quello che condividiamo è soprattutto il fatto che un buon piano per la mobilità non debba essere un compromesso tra propulsioni diverse, il risultato di una contrattazione tra il partito degli automobilisti, quello dei pedoni, quello dei ciclisti, dei centauri e dei mezzi pubblici, bensì la strategia, le opere ed i programmi necessari per spostarsi bene in un ambiente sano, bello, che consenta interazioni sociali, efficace per tutte le categorie di utenti e propulsivo per le attività commerciali, economiche e professionali.
